IGNORANCE IS PRECIOUS: SINCE IT FUELS THE WORLD PLAY
Existence (indivisible consciousness) exists
as the bodiless (immaterial and non-spatial) awareness ‘I am’ (I
exist).
Since existence alone exists, it alone
is the substratum (the Self and screen) within which everything appears to
exist (is imagined).
Life (the embodied world appearance)
is simply the imagined self-experiencing of existence to itself within
itself.
This occurs spontaneously and without any purpose, for such
is the nature (the game and play) of existence: to imagine experiences.
But in reality it is impossible to ‘perceive
a single experience’ without separation (contrasts, limitation, division,
diversity).
Hence since
consciousness alone exists without any separation,
it has no choice but to imagine separation for the sake of play.
And the broader the range of experiences, the richer the game (and the more
stimulating the play).
Hence all
the characters within the world appearance are simply imagined (since
existence alone exists without separation).
But the game is hardly stimulating if all the imagined characters remain
aware of their true nature as existence, because:
When unity is recognized, there is less conflict (ignorance).
When separation is perceived, there is greater conflict
(ignorance).
Without conflict (ignorance) there is no drama.
And without drama there is no stimulating play.
Hence ignorance is the fuel of the
world drama. As in any soap opera, if there is no villain (the ignorant),
there is no conflict.
Without conflict, there is no
drama. Without drama, it makes for a boring show. Hence the ratings
drop, and
the show gets cancelled.
It is drama (born of ignorance alone)
that makes the world play stimulating. And ignorance arises simply through
forgetfulness of the Self.
Without forgetfulness (of the Self), there is no perception
of separation.
Without perception of separation, there is no ignorance.
Without ignorance there is no conflict.
And without conflict there is no drama (stimulating play).
This
is why in mystical circles it is said: ’For
the sake of play, there is this forgetfulness.’
Ignorance exists to the degree one forgets one’s Self.
And wisdom exists to the degree one remembers one’s Self.
From the absolute viewpoint, the game of life is spontaneously imagined
(within existence) for the sake of experiences.
Hence the wider the range between ignorance
and wisdom, the greater the experiences (and hence the richer the game).
And the narrower the range between
ignorance and wisdom, the lesser the experiences (and hence the poorer
the game).
So from the highest viewpoint, an increase of ignorance makes the
game of life much richer, (while a decrease makes it poorer).
Without ignorance there is no play (drama for stimulating experiences).
So although life appears imperfect, in reality:
Life is ‘perfectly imperfect’ by divine design.
Since existence
alone exists, there are no individuals: hence it alone is the sole doer of
everything and it alone imagines everything.
No one can ever be responsible for
their level of ignorance (forgetfulness of Self).
And no one can ever take credit for
their level of wisdom either (remembrance of Self).
Hence there is no sense in judging anyone for anything, since existence
alone determines all forgetfulness and remembrance.
Nor can anyone ‘truly play’ in that imagined for play (the world appearance) until they renounce
all judgments.
So knowing all this within your heart, the most joyous and playful way
to live is to simply:
Appreciate ignorance as the fuel of the world play (of existence imagining experiences)
And renounce all judgments to ‘play freely’ (in
the ‘world imagined for play)
