WHY LIFE CAN ONLY BE A DREAM (IMAGINED)

What is the purpose of life?

Life (or existence) is the spontaneous self experiencing and self expression of the Self to itself within itself.

This is why mystics sum up existence as "Raab Di Leela" (its all the play of the Infinite) since the Infinite (the Self) alone exists.

So whatever the Self creates has to be placed within itself, because there is no other reality within which to place it.

Just as ocean and wave are indivisible (as water), the creator and creation are indivisible (both being consciousness).

In personal terms if nothing existed except you, whatever you created would have to be placed within yourself.

Where else could any creation be placed if you alone existed? Hence the Creator and creation can never be separate.

The desire to experience and express arises as spontaneously as our dreams each night. Who intends to dream?

And yet it occurs without intention, because such is the nature of consciousness: to imagine experiences.

But experiences can never exist (be perceived) except through the contrast between opposites (such as good and bad).

Without the contrasts between dualities (opposites), experiences can never be perceived.

Since the Creator alone exists without any contrasts, for the sake of play (experiences) contrasts are simply imagined.

Hence, creation is an illusion (a dream), the trick of the infinite upon the infinite for the sake of play.

One forgets one's Self to increase the reality of dreams, since the greater the reality, the more stimulating the experience.

Since experiences require separation, the Infinite can never be experienced since it alone exists (without separation).

So experiencing the Infinite is as impossible as looking at one's face, since one can never separate to look at one's face.

Even looking in a thousand mirrors, one sees only a reflection of one's face: it is still not one's real face.

From the absolute viewpoint, you can never separate from what you already are (to experience what you already are).

Hence to truly know your face, one needs only to simply be quiet to realize (know) its existence.

Just as sugar cannot taste sugar (since it is sugar itself), the highest truths in life can only be realized (known).

Hence, to truly know your Self (that 'you' exist), you need only be quiet to realize (know) your real Self (as awareness).

Awareness alone is the screen within which the world appears, just as a world is imagined within awareness during sleep.

Ultimately, all paths to truth are simply the means, while realizing (knowing) your Self (as awareness) is the sole end.

Since awareness is devoid of any material substance or space, there is never any movement or transformation anywhere.

Hence, no experiences or creation of any kind can ever 'really' exist, except as a dream within awareness (the Self).

So knowing this, simply remain in awareness and play as you wish.
